Ukrainian cars will be allowed into the EU only after passing inspection
From next year all cars from Ukraine, who will travel to EU countries, the needs will have to have pass inspection.
Such requirements are spelled out in the Association Agreement of Ukraine with the EU, the Geneva 1958 agreement and the EU Directives. Now this rule applies only to the transport that provides commercial transportation. This was reported in the Ministry of infrastructure.
“Now our challenge is the gradual introduction of mandatory technical inspection. We already have relevant normative legal acts that come into force next year, and we need to efficiently prepare for this. Involved world’s best practices and experts. We want a technical inspection is conducted by private companies, accredited by NAAU, have labs, sufficient material and technical base and meet all the requirements of the current legislation”, – said Deputy Minister of infrastructure, Yuriy Lavrenyuk.
Technical inspection will be required for first registration and re-registration of the vehicle.
