Poroshenko has signed the law which created the conditions for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbass

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On creation of necessary conditions for peaceful settlement of the situation in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 6 October.

In particular, the law specifies that Ukraine is striving to restore the territorial integrity of Georgia remains committed to a peaceful settlement of the situation in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions on the basis of principles and norms of international law and the UN Charter.

Also, the law noted that the sovereignty of Ukraine extends throughout its entire territory, which is within the internationally recognized borders is indivisible and inviolable.

“Responsible majority voting will help our army continue to hold the Fort with a minimum of casualties, and diplomats to intensify international pressure on Russia”, – said Poroshenko.

Poroshenko added that during the first adoption three years ago, many representatives of political forces “frightened horror” regarding this law, but none of the negative forecast did not materialize.

“And then, and now the implementation of the Law strictly due to a number of requirements to Russia as the aggressor and occupier and its puppet regimes. First of all, demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops, illegal armed groups, the withdrawal of military equipment from the territory of Ukraine, and the norm of compliance political processes to the standards of the OSCE,” – said the President.

In addition, the law creates the necessary conditions for deployment in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, the UN peacekeeping operation, in particular taking into account resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from March 17, 2015 No. 253—VIII “On approval of statements on behalf of Ukraine in the Security Council of the United Nations and the Council of the European Union concerning the deployment on the territory of Ukraine in international peacekeeping operations and security”.

Yesterday, October 6, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the bills that define the future of the occupied part. So, adopted in the first reading a presidential bill on the peculiarities of the state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions (No. 7163). Also Pleased to extend the special status of the bill OGLO 7164 “On creation of necessary conditions for the peaceful settlement of the situation in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions”.
