Almost one in eight of the validated currency exchangers working illegally
For the first nine months, the national Bank checked activity 770 currency exchangers. It turned out that 101 of them, nearly one in eight, were working illegally.
“Tests were carried out in Kiev and in all oblasts of Ukraine. During inspections revealed 101 currency exchange, which worked illegally in Kiev, Donetsk, Transcarpathian, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Ternopil, Kharkiv and Chernivtsi regions. Information about illegal exchange offices, the national Bank reports to law enforcement authorities”, – said the NBU.
We will remind, the regulator began regular inspections of currency exchange offices, which in Ukraine 3537, last year in September.
