“At a time when thousands of Ukrainians were killed by Russian invaders, tens of thousands of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars are being persecuted by the occupation regime, this proposal goes beyond the political framework and is a blatant cynicism,” – said in the foreign Ministry.

The office noted that the proposal of appeasement and legitimize the annexation of Crimea by the “sale” is absolutely not acceptable to a modern Europe.

At the same time, the Ukrainian foreign Minister highly appreciated the support and solidarity of the Czech government and the Czech people, which are manifested in specific cases and practical assistance.

“A striking example of this is the recent visit of the delegation of the Senate of the Czech Republic in the Donbass”, – reads the statement of the foreign Ministry.

We will remind, at the PACE session in Strasbourg, the President of Czech Republic miloš Zeman has invited Ukraine to legitimize the annexation of Crimea by financial compensation from Russia. “Crimea is annexation, without a doubt. It is a finished work (fait accompli). In my opinion, will be some compensation for Ukraine – or in a financial form or in oil and gas”, – he stressed.

According to Zeman, if Ukraine does not agree to compensate, will start the “European war”. According to him, war is inevitable in the case of a continuing effort to return the Crimea.
