Former Chairman of GosKomInvest Kaskiv said that voluntarily returned to Ukraine to participate in the investigation of embezzlement of the state budget, than it suspect.
He said this on his page in Facebook.
“I want to confirm the message of the Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko. I do voluntarily returned to Ukraine”, – he wrote.
According to Kaskiv, the reason for his return is the desire to prove the innocence in court.
“On 18 September I went to the Republic of Panama with a request to provide consent voluntarily to come to Ukraine. On 27 October, the Supreme Court of Panama granted my request, an irrevocable fixing of international guarantees of Ukraine not to bring additional charges,” he said.
In addition, Kaskiv said that to end the speculation about drawing losses to the state decided to reimburse them, regardless of the final decision of the court.
“For the same reasons, decided to pay for their own flights. Today I returned to Ukraine. I emphasize that my return was in full compliance with the applicable international laws and laws of Ukraine procedures because of its voluntary nature,” concluded the former official.
