Poroshenko has signed the law regulating the conduct in Ukraine of the tour Russian artists

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the touring events in Ukraine” on the specifics of organizing and conducting tour events with the participation of the citizens of the aggressor state“.

This law amends a number of articles and sections in the Law of Ukraine “On touring activities in Ukraine”, in particular article 1, article 2, article 3, article 10. Section I is complemented by article 31.

“The law establishes that when conduct touring activities are not allowed calls for the promotion of separatism, Communist or national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes and their symbols; conducting tour events that popularitybut or promote the state-an aggressor and its authorities prohibited the tour event, which is a person included to the List of people who pose a threat to national security and the like”, – stated in the message.

In addition, the document identifies features of the organization and conduct of the tour events, attended by citizens of the aggressor state. The tour organizer if a party is a citizen of the aggressor state, not later than 30 days prior to the day of the event to submit to the security service request to obtain information about the presence or absence of legal grounds for refusing entry of a citizen of the aggressor state to participate in the tour event.

The organizer must provide SBU accurate information about the name and surname of the participant specified in his document for entry into the territory of our state, and the use of aliases belonging to the creative teams, other information that characterizes his creative activity. Office within 10 days from the date of receipt of the request considers and provides a response about the presence or absence of legal grounds for refusing entry of a citizen of the aggressor state to participate in the tour event.

At the conclusion of the contract with the artist, the organizer should be aware that a legitimate reason to prevent a citizen of the aggressor state to participate in the tour event can appear after the grant of the security service of response to request.

For violation of the law, the organizer shall bear administrative responsibility in the form of a fine in the amount from fifty to one hundred minimum wages. The order of fines approved by the Central Executive body which provides forming and implements the state policy in the spheres of culture and arts.

We will remind, earlier in the Ternopil region artists, who are touring in Russia and in the occupied territories of Ukraine, banned the concerts.
