“The ban mask show”. Poroshenko signed a law on mandatory video recording during searches

President Petro Poroshenko has signed a law which requires law enforcement agencies to carry out video recording of searchesconducted by the representatives of various business structures.

This was announced on his Twitter page, his press Secretary Svyatoslav Tsigalko.

Note, this law prohibits the removal of electronic information systems and the duty of the prosecution to make copies of necessary information.

The law will enter into force on the day following publication in the official Gazette, but the rules about the video during the trial – they will take effect from the beginning of 2019.

We will remind, on November 16 the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law which requires law enforcement agencies to conduct the video recording of searchesconducted by the representatives of various business structures. For the bill “On amendments to some legislative acts concerning enforcement of the rights of participants of criminal proceedings and other persons by law enforcement agencies in the production of pre-trial investigation” (No. 7275) voted 312 deputies.
