Experts must determine whether or not to record the voice of Saakashvili, who allegedly speaks with the oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko.
“It in no way contributes to the objective investigation of criminal proceedings, as he has several times rejected any of our requests to provide samples of their speech. It is in a certain way confirms that the voice, the conversation took place. We will remind, earlier Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko released a recorded conversation of Saakashvili and oligarch of the “family” of Yanukovych Sergey Kurchenko. They agreed to cooperate. Police arrested Saakashvili late on the evening of 8 December and taken to the detention center of the SBU.
On December 11 the Pechersky regional court of Kiev released Saakashvili unconditionally. The court denied the prosecutors the petition about election of a measure of restraint in the form of a round-the-clock house arrest. Saakashvili is accused of assisting a criminal group under article 256 of the Penal code. He faces from 3 to 5 years behind bars.
Preliminary results of the examination confirmed the voices of Saakashvili and Kurchenko on audio and video footage obtained in the investigation of criminal proceedings.
