Lutsenko promised to publish resonant news of the case of Yanukovych

The Prosecutor General’s office will soon be releasing the resonant information in the case deprived the title of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

This was stated by Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko during a meeting with journalists, answering the question about the fate of the allegedly arrested in Switzerland, about 500 kilograms of gold, which allegedly belong to the entourage of Yanukovych, writes “Ukrainian truth”.

“No comment, in the interests of the investigation. Soon you will hear a very resonant news about one very high profile case”, he said.

Separately Lutsenko said that the investigation into the Affairs of MPs who were recently stripped of parliamentary immunity, are in the final stages.

Recall the accounts of Yanukovych and its associated entities frozen in Switzerland in 2014. 9 December 2016 the Federal Council of Switzerland announced its decision to extend the measures to freeze all assets of Yanukovych, in Switzerland, as well as other individuals from Ukraine, which is probably associated with it. Among other things, the report reveals that “we are talking about assets worth approximately 70 million Swiss francs” (without specifying to whom such assets belong).

A year later, on 20 December 2017, the Swiss Federal Council decided to extend for another year a freeze of all accounts of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
