Ukrainian drivers will have to pay more for “green card” for travelling abroad
Last Friday, January 19, Motor (transport) insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU) has introduced new rates on the insurance policies “Green card” for travelling abroad on motor transport. Prices rose by 5.4%.
Last time the cost of these policies increased 28 December 2017 by 5.2%. About it writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.
Policies “Green card” there are two types: all of Europe, as well as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova and Russia.

The size of single insurance payment under agreements of international compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles are established by resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of 6 January 2005 and is set in Euro.
Green card system the insurance protection injured in a traffic accident regardless of their country of residence and country of registration of the vehicle. “Green card” applies to the territory of the 47 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa.
In accordance with the decision taken by the General Assembly of the Council of Bureaux of the international system of insurance “Green card” in Luxembourg in may 2004, Ukraine, with January 1, 2005 is a full member of this system.
Motor (transport) insurance Bureau of Ukraine, non – entrepreneurial (non-profit) organization established by the state. She is the only Association of insurers that carry mandatory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles for damage caused to third parties. Membership of insurers in MTIBU is obligatory for activity implementation on mandatory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles.
