Poroshenko told about the results of negotiations with the IMF and the World Bank in Davos

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called “a very constructive” negotiations with representatives of international financial institutions in Davos.

“Were extremely detailed consultations with our partners in international financial organizations. They were very constructive,” – said the head of state during a briefing on his participation in the 48th annual meeting of the world economic forum in Davos.

According to Poroshenko, during the negotiations was formulated positions regarding the arrival of experts in Ukraine and determine what steps are left in order to invite a mission to receive the next tranche. The President noted that this is a task for the Ukrainian government and Parliament.

“I’m sure the fact that we have accelerated the arrival of experts to elaborate a joint and coordinated decisions is extremely positive,” – said Petro Poroshenko.

The President was in Davos a number of meetings with representatives of international financial organizations, in particular the managing Director of the IMF, Christine Lagarde, her Deputy, David Lipton, President of the world Bank Jim Yong Kim.

“We had a detailed and thorough conversations that allow us to look optimistically to the future”, – said Poroshenko.

Speaking of other results of their participation in the forum in Davos, the President reported a large number of questions about the meeting by leading foreign investors.

In the framework of the revision of the cooperation program, which opens the way to obtain the fifth tranche, the IMF still continues to explore the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on pension reform. In addition, Ukraine still needs to adopt legislation establishing an anti-corruption court, reform the process of privatization of state-owned enterprises to be transparent and based on market mechanisms and perform the adjustments in domestic gas tariffs in accordance with the previously approved formula.
