Jovanovic told, whether in the U.S. Embassy, the “secret bunker” to talk with politicians
There were rumors that supposedly in the Embassy building USA and the Ambassador’s residence in Kiev a secret room or bunker in which with Ukrainian politicians conduct “educational work”.
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch in interview to the program “Right to rule” on the TV channel “1+1” denied these rumors.
“I think that Ukrainian politicians know what they need to do, so no (do not conduct “educational work”). I even such did not do. It depends on the Ukrainians. And what about the secret room – well, the question is original and interesting, but I don’t know where you came from. Since the idea of a bunker or secret room in the residence is a little crazy. So, no, we have no secret room,” said Jovanovic.
The residence of the US Ambassador is in the capital hem.
“And what about the residence at the hem, this historic building and very old – at least by American standards. There was everything from communal home for elderly people, and now it is the residence of the American Ambassador. So we will make a small pamphlet about the history of the building. And I will be very happy to show you and your viewers, and you will see that there is no secret room. But there is a lot of interesting things,” promised the Ambassador.
On the question of whether she invites Ukrainian politicians to his residence to teach, Jovanovic said:
“The truth is not so interesting as the fantasy.”
