Dissatisfied with the decision of Yanukovych has named names “involved” in the shootings on the Maidan
The Pechersky district court of Kiev allowed special (private) pre-trial investigation against the former President-the fugitive Viktor Yanukovych ex-head of SBU Alexander Yakimenko and former first Deputy SBU Vladimir Totsky in the case of Euromaidan, its bloody crackdown and executions of people.
“Against the three defendants in criminal proceedings – Zakharchenko, Ratushnyak and Fedchuk – like motions prosecutors will be considered in the near future. Let me remind you that we are talking about the events on the Euromaidan on February 18-20, 2014. All six defendants in criminal proceedings are wanted to shy away from a trial” – he wrote in Facebook press-the Secretary of Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko Larisa Sargan.
Meanwhile, former President Victor Yanukovych is dissatisfied with the decision of the court, accusing the current government, which, they say specifically not allowed his lawyers to court, and accused current high-ranking officials of involvement in the shootings on the Maidan in February 2014. This is stated in circulation of the former President, which by reaction Dnia sent press Secretary, his son Alexander Yanukovych, Yuri Cuirassiers.
“The current regime went to criminal actions – using force to remove my lawyers from participation in the so-called case of independence, which is considered in Pechersky district court of Kyiv. Such action is a panic reaction of the current government that every day in Ukraine and the world know more of the facts of the involvement of its representatives to the most serious crimes. Already in Europe and the world are openly talking about the involvement of “current leaders” to mass shootings on the Maidan in 2014. Referred to the specific names – paruby, Pashinsky, Lutsenko. Will be called”, – the statement says Yanukovych.
He says he’s not guilty of the crimes during the Maidan, saying that the case against him was fabricated. He also accuses members of the current government that “the Crimea they have paid for the opportunity to be in high Kyiv offices. In 2014, arriving in the blood to power, they are using the blood that power trying to hold today, initiating and continuing a fratricidal war in Donbass”, – Yanukovych is convinced.
Notes that he is accused of crimes that don’t exist.
“For this, in Pechersky court of Kiev by force did not allow my defenders to trial, and replaced it with the “prosecution” lawyer, who took 40 minutes to explore the 110 volumes of the case and more than 100 hours of footage to give the possibility of “manual” for the judge to render a decision on the beginning of the pre-trial investigation against me.”
