Poroshenko has granted the request of the head of “Ukroboronprom” resignation

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has dismissed the General Director of “Ukroboronprom” Roman Romanov.

The corresponding decree appeared on the website of the Ukrainian President on Monday, February 12.

“To liberate the Romanov Roman Medvedev from the post of General Director of State concern “Ukroboronprom”, – reads the decree.

We will remind, on February 12, the Director General of civil “Ukroboronprom” Roman Romanov has declared that resigns from office. He said that the letter of resignation written last year. Romanov believes that “Ukroboronprom” under his leadership worked successfully.

27 Dec-Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said that he would sign presentation to the President about the dismissal of Romanov. He accused the CEO of the concern that he has not found a way to repay the debt to employees of shipbuilding plant in Nikolaev.

In turn, Romanov said that the company has nothing to debts to workers “Nikolaev shipbuilding plant”.

“The arrears of wages were formed due to the fact that the plant had not received a refund for the contents of the rocket cruiser “Ukraine” and their own expense kept “Ukraine” afloat February 2015. As a result, government debt amounted to 61 million UAH”, – he assured.
