For the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass have put the squeeze on Russia – Poroshenko

The effective implementation of the full mission of UN peacekeepers in the occupied areas of Donbass it is necessary to strengthen international pressure on Russia. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a security forum in Munich, the press service of the head of state.

“Today, it seems to me that the idea of peacekeepers captured in the minds of people who make decisions, including here in Munich at the security forum. In my opinion, is the absolute understanding that this is a key part of the Minsk peace process”, – said the Ukrainian President. “In order to Ukraine was introduced a full-scale mission of UN peacekeepers, which will ensure the return of these territories under Ukrainian sovereignty, we need only one thing – to put the squeeze on Russia”, – said Poroshenko.

Peacekeepers must ensure the absence of foreign troops in the occupied territory. We can say that the required component must be the presence of peacekeepers on the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border to stop the infiltration of Russian troops and Russian ammunition, fuel and military equipment on the territory of Ukraine”, – said Poroshenko.
