Poroshenko discussed with the Deputy Tillerson of peacekeepers in the Donbass and sanctions against Russia

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Wednesday met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of state John L. Sullivan.

The President reported on his page in Facebook.

Poroshenko and Deputy Rex Tillerson discussed the security situation in the Donbas, in particular the deployment of UN peacekeepers.

They also discussed a coordinated policy of sanctions against Russia until full recovery of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea.

Recall that in the fourth anniversary of the events on the Maidan Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. The interlocutors discussed the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements, noting the need to consolidate the ceasefire. Also Poroshenko and Merkel exchanged views on the resumption of effective work of the ad hoc center of control and coordination in the Donbas and the possibility of the deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

20 thousand peacekeepers in the occupied territories of Ukraine, plus four thousand police officers – the plan provides for Anders Fogh Rasmussen. This proposal was developed by the UN experts in the American Institute of the Hudson. Poroshenko, who is also in Munich, said that the idea of the peacekeeping force supports the entire civilized world.
