Germany is ready to give permission for the construction of the “Nord stream-2” – KOBOLEV

The German government already in March may issue a permit for the construction of the controversial pipeline “Nord stream-2”.

This was stated by the head of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Andrew KOBOLEV, writes “RBC-Ukraine”.

“According to our data, in March the German government plans to issue a final permit for the construction of Nord Stream 2”, – he said.

KOBOLEV also said that the construction of “Nord stream-2” can significantly reduce the transit of Russian gas across the Ukrainian territory, so the government should take immediate steps to preserve the status of a transit country.

Recall that the start of construction of the gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” is planned for 2018, the project involves the construction of the 3rd and 4th branches of the Baltic highway, bringing the capacity up to 110 bcm per year. Gas “Northern stream-2” should come to the Austrian Baumgarten. The launch of “Nord stream-2” is part of the project “Gazprom” on the path of refusal from the Ukrainian transit.

At the same time, Poland is opposed to the construction of “Nord stream-2”. She asked the United States to expand sanctions on the construction of the pipeline and agreed on a joint with Ukraine the letter to the EU about the inadmissibility of implementation of the “Nord stream-2”.

In addition the Polish party “law and justice” is going to implement the Baltic Pipe project, which provides for the construction of its own pipeline on the seabed of the Baltic sea in protest against the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream-2” from Russia to Germany.
