The head of the National joint stock company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Andrey Kobelev offers consumers to reduce gas consumption for a few days to avoid a crisis in energy which their actions wants to push “Gazprom”.

“What we would have suggested things to consumers – it is their good will, but in order not to give Putin realize his plan to gas blackmail, there is a very simple measure – one degree to reduce the temperature by day and two by night, and to companies in the next two days off not to heat the premises,” – said the head of “Naftogaz”.

Kobolyev believes that this does not greatly affect the comfort or productive process, but will reduce daily consumption by 8-10%.
“That will be enough to return the mode of the system in a comfortable and relaxing. Now this regime is to us not only loads of workers, but also additional loss of gas will also be transferred to Gazprom for payment, but from the point of view of avoiding a crisis situation and from the point of view of us as consumers who can control it – it would be a very useful measure for the whole country,” he said.
