The Ministry of health to appeal for reinstatement to the rector of Bogomolets
The Ministry of health of Ukraine submits an appeal against the court ruling on the restoration of the Ekaterina Amosova to the post of rector of the National medical University..Bogomoletz.
This is stated in the statement of the press service of the Ministry of health.
“The Ministry appeals to the decision of the District administrative court of Kyiv on the restoration of K. M. Amosova to the post of rector of NMU”, – stated in the message.
Also, the Ministry noted that the decree is a temporary measure and not a final decision on the merits of the case, and assured that the Commission of the Ministry continues its work and examines the circumstances of the case at the breakdown of crock at NMU.
“The independent exam is disrupted. Through illegal tenders with the corruption trail, the attempt to cancel the license of the state independent testing center. Students are encouraged to “strike”. The University buildings are closed on the circuit, the learning process is forcibly terminated. This, together with the lack of cooperation with the Commission and the Ministry, attempting to use the judicial system for political purposes are manifestations of a major crisis in the medical education system,” said the health Ministry, calling these actions, “the reaction of the old educational system.”
The Ministry also said that the “old corrupt and inefficient system of medical training” resists a number of initiatives and decisions, which requires the construction of a new Ukrainian medicine.
“We have introduced a minimum passing score of ZNO 150 of the core subjects, which will eliminate the weakest applicants, and will provide an opportunity to study medicine is able and motivated. We met with the organized resistance of several rectors, with the involvement of people’s deputies. Also implemented a tender for medical universities. According to this principle, students and funding go to those universities, which are sent to students with higher points. After this decision we have been faced with massive hardware resistance from universities with weak level of training of specialists”, – said the Ministry of health.
Separately, the Ministry promised to continue to take systematic measures that will help the Ukrainian medical education to go global.
“On the stage of public discussion are the intentions of the Ministry to improve the educational standard for medical specialties, to make the state competitive examinations, to make the process of passing an independent, fair and non-corrupt”, – concluded the press service.
