The world’s largest beer producer Anheuser-Busch InBev and the Turkish company Anadolu Efes has signed an agreement to merge their subsidiaries in Ukraine.

To manage the combined business will be a division of AB InBev, Efes, in which companies will have equal shares of 50%. Representatives of the companies will be included in the Board of Directors in equal proportions.

The company merged with AB InBev, Efes will have three Breweries in Ukraine. Among the brands – international and local brands of beer: Spaten, Corona Extra, BUD, Velkopopovický Kozel, Miller Genuine Draft, Hoegaarden.

“The Union will ensure the growth of the company and to occupy leading positions in Ukraine,” hopes the President of the United AB InBev Efes Dmitry Shpakov.

AB InBev and Anadolu Efes announced its intention to unite the local businesses in August 2017. This merger was the result of a global agreement worth $106 billion for the purchase of AB InBev competitor, the British SABMiller. In the result, AB InBev inherited a 24% stake in Anadolu Efes: package SABMIller received in exchange for your Russian business, when combined with his assets of Turkish group in the region.
