Finland gave Russia all permits for the construction of “Nord stream-2”

The length of the pipeline through the territory of Finland is 374 kilometers.
Finland has issued a second and final approval for the construction and operation of the Russian gas pipeline “Nord stream-2” in the Finnish exclusive economic zone with a length of 374 km.
The resolution gave Regional administrative Agency for southern Finland, writes “European true”. The first resolution of the government of Finland for the construction of a gas pipeline in the Finnish exclusive economic zone, issued last week.
2 Nord Stream AG, which is the operator of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”, said that the way the permitting process in Finland completed. In company are convinced that the procedures for obtaining permits in other countries along the route of the pipeline – Russia, Sweden and Denmark – are on the schedule.

Recall that the pipeline “Nord stream-2” with a total length of 1,200 kilometres should connect Russia with Europe (through the Baltic sea to Germany) to bypass Ukraine. The project involves the construction and operation of two pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Opponents of the project – Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries and Denmark argue that the “Nord stream-2” will increase the EU’s dependence on Gazprom, which already supplies about a third of the volume of gas in the EU.
After a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on 10 April in Berlin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel for the first time admitted that “Nord stream-2” is not only an economic project, and to consider him a political factor. She stated that the project “Northern stream-2” cannot be realized without conservation of Ukraine as a transit country. In Germany, Nord Stream AG 2 already got a full set of permits for the construction and operation of the pipeline.
