The defenders decided to protest against the new stage of the process.

Press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko Larisa Sargan in his Twitter called this behavior of lawyers demarche. “The demarche of lawyers of Yanukovych disrupted the judicial debate. Adjourned to may 3, 10:00. In the case of the absence of lawyers, the court will consider the option to bring an advocate from the legal assistance centre,” she said.

The lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk explained that considers wrong to go to the stage of the debate, when there was heard by all witnesses. At the same time, the court rejected 10 proposed by advocates of persons who would have to testify in defense of Yanukovych. Among them, in particular, the former head of the SBU Alexander Yakymenko and former commander of internal troops Stanislav Shulyak. Serdyuk called the court decision was politically motivated.
