The hryvnia will continue to grow until late summer and then fall.

Traditionally in the currency market , the hryvnia will be strengthened until the end of August, and in autumn and winter devalue. At the end of the year the dollar will cost 29 USD.

This forecast was voiced by the Chairman of the Board “First Ukrainian international Bank” (FUIB) Sergey Chernenko, referring to analysts ‘ expectations of financial institutions. This writes UNIAN.

“In their forecasts, we set moderately conservative expectations – course 29”, – he said.

The banker noted that Ukraine will have to pay large sums of money for the debts in this and next year, approaching presidential and parliamentary elections, but despite these factors, the national currency continues to become stronger, even more active than last year.

“Tools to cope with peak debt payments, the government has sufficient”, – says Mr. Chernenko.

Recall, the state budget of Ukraine for 2018 implies an average annual hryvnia exchange rate at about UAH 29,3 per dollar, and the exchange rate at the end of the year – about 30.1 UAH per dollar.

According to the survey of the NBU in the first quarter of 2018, a majority of the representatives of Ukrainian business predict the exchange rate of the hryvnia to the US dollar in the next 12 months within 28-31 UAH per dollar.

Historical record of hryvnia against foreign currencies in the official exchange rate of the NBU: USD 26 February 2015, has reached the highest figure in 30.01 UAH, Euro set his record on January 26, 2018 – 35,66 UAH.
