The Metropolitan police opened criminal proceedings over the beating on the evening of Monday, April 30, people’s Deputy Mustafa Nayem during a conflict between the drivers of the cars next to the Besarabsky market in Central Kiev.
“Event, during which the MP was injured qualifies as disorderly conduct. Three active participants were taken to the police Department. The investigative Department of Shevchenkovsky police Department initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. The sanction of article provides till four years of imprisonment”, – noted in the Department of communication of the police of Kiev.
Law enforcement agencies learned about the conflict after a call of MP.
