According to the head of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, the document consists of 29 volumes and weighs about 90 pounds.

Ukraine today, June 12, submit to the international court of justice Memorandum on the case against Russia regarding violations of the International Convention on the prohibition of the financing of terrorism and the UN Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination.

This was stated on his official page in Facebook by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

“It is very symbolic that the international court of justice determined the June 12 – Russia day for filing a Memorandum in the case of Ukraine against Russia regarding violations of the International Convention on the prohibition of the financing of terrorism and the UN Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination. Presentation of the Memorandum in the case against Russia – an important step in the proof that for all their illegal actions, Russia will bear responsibility”, – he stressed.

Poroshenko added that, while the world convinces Russia to admit the illegality of their actions and get out of the occupied areas of Donbas and Crimea, it continue to “persistently lying, that it is not they who occupied Ukrainian lands, brought the Buk which brought down MH-17 was brought Grads who fired at civilians in Mariupol, Kramatorsk and the Town and the checkpoint in Volnovakha”.

“Officials of the Russian Federation stubbornly lie that recruited the terrorists who committed the bombings in Odessa, Kharkiv and Kiev. Lying about the fact that you do not survive the Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars from Crimea by discriminating against them in terms of occupation,” – said the head of state.

According to Poroshenko, to overcome the lie only truth and evidence.

“For this we need the position of the International court of justice, which will give an appropriate assessment to actions of the Russian Federation and will not leave them a chance to hide from responsibility for another manipulation and shouting “it’s not us” and “we are not there”. The Memorandum contains extraordinary as for the practice of the Court, the amount of evidence. This is done to ensure that no one was left in no doubt that Russia has committed illegal acts and should be held accountable. There is still a lot of work to convey the truth, but truth is on our side and so we are going to uphold and defend by all appropriate means”, – concluded the President.
