Special representative of US state Department on the Affairs Kurt Volker said that the Russian intervention in Ukraine led to a severe humanitarian crisis in the Donbas.

About it the diplomat wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Walker said that the conflict in the Donbas moved into an active phase and a hot war, the responsibility for which lies with the Federation, as well as opportunities to end the conflict. He reported on the deterioration of the situation: the destruction of infrastructure – electricity, water, heat supply, communications and roads. According to him, the particular concern is an outbreak of tuberculosis with its dangerous strain under conditions in which it is difficult to deliver antibiotics.
