The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted amendments to the state budget of Ukraine for the year 2018 that provides for additional allocation of 1.4 billion hryvnia in support of the coal industry of the country.

The law was planned to increase by 2.8 billion UAH expenditures of the State budget of Ukraine for 2018 with the aim of increasing expenditure to the Ministry of energy and coal industry of Ukraine on coal industry, but soon this amount was reduced to 1.4 billion.
“Realizing that is a difficult situation and the budget deficit, we this figure was reduced to 1.4 billion UAH”, – said during his speech, the MP from the faction “popular front” Mikhail Bodnar.

The funds will be spent for financing of the budgetary program “implementation of measures to ensure domestic production of coal products and further reform of the public sector coal industry”, namely: the acquisition of equipment for mines; equipment for tunnel faces; acquisition of fixed equipment; provision of payroll.
“This is a routine change history, because we see that the production at the state mines is more expensive than coal is on the market. Here, the issue of modernization and the modernization of the necessary funds. In order to receive these funds, it is necessary to bring the industry out of debt. So we’re doing that right now,” said present Parliament, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
