The President is convinced that the statement Pompeo “deprive the Kremlin of the Imperial illusions”.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the historic statement by the head of the US State Department Mike Pompeo of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea.

“I welcome the historic Declaration of Washington not to recognize the attempted annexation of Ukrainian Crimea by the Russian aggressor. Decent response hybrid provocations of the Kremlin after Helsinki,” he wrote on his page on Facebook on the evening of July 25.

Poroshenko thanked the administration of US President Donald trump “for an uncompromising stance on support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders”.

“Crimea belongs to our state is not discussed – was not, is not and cannot be subject to compromise. I am convinced that the statement of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo finally will deprive the Kremlin of the Imperial illusions,” – said the President of Ukraine.

Preconvene Poroshenko that the armed occupation and illegal annexation of part of a sovereign state completed only one – the dismissal of the occupied territories, restoration of territorial integrity and compensation of all caused by the aggressor of the damage. He called all the friends and partners of Ukraine to support the Crimean Declaration of the US state Department.

“Our overall strategy is to move from the non-recognition policy to the policy of de-occupation. A United front will force Russia to end its aggression and respect international law,” – wrote Poroshenko.
